    Now this coach gets it

The New York Giants scored a TD in overtime instead of trying for a field goal against the Panthers. Maybe Dick should watch how he coaches in the playoffs and learn somethin.

On another note if there is anyone that still thinks the reason for this teams failure to make the playoffs is because of the talent on this team take a look at the Giants from this year and last year. They lost alot key players that were on the superbowl team from last year. Now they look even better this year without those key players. The reason for that is because of the great coaching by Tom Coughlin.

the NFLPA did a survey and he was in the top 2 for coaches least want to play for....i believe he was 1, it's because he is sooo hard on his players....he makes them work their ass' off and it pays off on Sundays, he has definitely become one of the leagues best during his tenure w/ the Giants

Yeah, you say they went for the td, but really all the did was hand it off much like we do. The giants rushing attack is just way more potent than ours so they can do that and succeed in it where we fail.

Coaching is the problem not talent.

Because its TCs call if he wants to send out the field goal kicker or go for the TD not KGs.

Why would he kick a fg when they were at the 2 yd line? Of course you go for it!
I didn't come here to fight, I hate fighting. Life is way too short to spend it on fighting! Go fight with yourself, one of you will eventually win!

If you watched the game and you seen Derrick Ward rip off that big run in OT to get them somewhere around the 30 yardline they could have easily just ran 3 straight plays right up the middle and kick a field goal (sound familiar) but nope Coughlin seen the weakness in the Carolina D and he went for the TD like all good coaches would.

Before they got to the 2. They just didnt have that one big run play to get them to the 2. They could have kicked a field goal a couple of times in that drive before they got to the 2.
