Lynch and Stroud alternates for Pro Bowl (http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2008/12/24/lynch-and-stroud-alternates-for-pro-bowl/)

By Chris Brown - Posted December 24th, 2008
Buffalobills.com has confirmed that Marshawn Lynch and Marcus Stroud were named alternates for the AFC squad for this year’s Pro Bowl.
Lynch is ranked fourth in the AFC this season in rushing with 1,036 yards on the season. He needs 80 this week to top his total from 2007.
Marcus Stroud is fourth on the team in tackles with 77 and is tied for second on the team in tackles for loss with 6. He also has 2.5 sacks.
Congrats to them both.

Fred Jackson would have been named the starter if the Bills started him all year.

TD may very well be right, Jackson hits the hole harder. Resigning him long term should be a major priority.

stroud has been worth the money all year, our best acquisition this off season in my opinion. people can say what they want cause he only has 2.5 sacks but without shoebel all year they have been double and triple teaming stroud at times. and lynch is a NFL favorite. even all the anouncers that call the games love him, he is a beast and is very deserving.

Lynch is my favorite player in the league. He seems hilarious off the field, but runs like he is no joke.

Did you watch the Giant game last week and see how hard Ward hit the holes? Lynch doesn't do that.

Unlike Peters' performance this year and PB entry, these guys deserved what they got. Well done guys, well done.

Lynch would rush for 2000 yards behind the Giants OL.

Both deserve to be alternates. Yes in a good way, and yes in a bad way.

Lynch needs to become a 1500+ runner, then hes a perrenial pro-bowler IMO.

Stroud made a big impact for us this year and was one of our best moves in a decade but hasnt been a huge sack guy. If he steps up and gets even 7, hes a starting caliper pro-bowler IMO.

I don't know if Jackson could take the kind of pounding that comes with starter-level carries, or if he would have the kind of success he enjoys now if the D were looking for him on every play.
