Not a huge loss...

I don't understand why anyone would think so.

Lynch is averaging 69 yards on the ground this year per game...I think Fred Jackson can handle picking up the slack.

1. He's the ONLY guy on this team who plays hard every game and he fights for every yard.

2. Our backup is Xavier Omon, who has exactly 1 NFL carry

3. This will just make our idiot OC and idiot HC abandon the run even earlier and allow Bellicheck to blitz the **** out of Edwards.

That's why it's a big deal.

So Fred Jackson doesn't fight for every yard or plays hard all the time? Good to know. I've seen runs that Fred Jackson has made that have impressed me more than what Lynch has done. Not to take anything away from Lynch but Fred Jackson isn't much of a dropoff if any at all.

And OH NO, we might have to go and rely on one RB all game long as opposed to having two backs. There are teams who still rely on a one RB attack in this league.

The running game won't be abandoned today. There won't be much passing once the rain starts to fall. 20-40mph winds + rain, we'll see A LOT of rushing.

Heard the winds at the Ralph are at 60mph!!!! Fred will see 25-30 carries today.

I don't?

Fact is Lynch averages 69 yards a game on the ground.

Still think Lynch is a top 5 receiving back in the league and doesn't have stone hands?

Jackson will run for like 125 today, easy.

I dunno who is more overrated by the fanbase...Lynch or Evans.

I'd agree with you if we had a head coach that was worth a damn. But we don't. We have Jauron.

NE will anticipate the run, put 8 in the box, and cause 2 three-and-outs. The Bills will get down by 10 then immediately become pass-happy.

Then if that's your opinion the loss of Lynch today is virtually meaningless.

If we abandon the running game because of our coach, what difference does it make who the back is?

Well, while I like Jackson, I think Lynch is better and has a better chance of making the few runs we get count (at least count enough to reduce the coach's chances of abandoning the run game).

But I really don't think any of it matters. Even if we were 100% healthy, NE still has a lot more talent and much better coaching. This one will be another embarrassment at the hands of Bellicheat.

As long as it's not going to be 'the excuse' if we lose today, I'd rather let the kid get healed up.. You KNOW Marshawn's hurting when he doesn't go.

And as for his 69 yards per game - being under utilized will do that to a back..

NFLN just reported up to 65 mph gusts.
but yes, it's going to be a running game.

He has 250 carries on the year.

Is DeAngelo Williams 248 1337 18 TDs underutilized?
Is Steve Slaton 248 1190 8 TDs underutilized?
Is Brandon Jacobs 219 1089 15 TDs underutilized?

Lynch is 26th in the league in YPC of backs with over 100 carries on the year.

Healed up for what exactly? We don't have another game for 9 months. 9 long, excruciating, boring months.

Right, better to risk a more serious injury in a completely meaningless game that we'll probably lose by 20+ points.. Makes sense.

Alright.. mis-utilized then.. I'd have liked to see him used more on the outside.

well, then the game's meaningless so we might as well sit Trent, Lee, Dockery, Walker, and all our other starters because of the risk of injury. That's piss poor logic.

Anyone still think that Lynch not playing is a major loss?
