AP: 2010 Pro Bowl in Miami before Super Bowl

AP source: 2010 Pro Bowl will be in Miami

By TIM REYNOLDS, AP Sports Writer

MIAMI (AP)—The Pro Bowl will be played one week before the Super Bowl in 2010 and both games will be staged in Dolphin Stadium, a person directly involved in the decision told The Associated Press on Monday.

    Hmmm.

Well, there are two Super bowl participants that wont see their players, at a minimum.

I dont like it. Had Dallas made the Super bowl last year under these conditions, 25% of the NFC would've been replaced.

I can see why they'd want it to be before the Super Bowl, but any players playing in the Super Bowl would be crazy to play in the Pro Bowl the previous week. That would likely deprive the Pro Bowl of several big names.

Meaningless game that shouldn't be played.
Just named who made the All-Star team and skip the game.

I honestly can't say when the last time I watched 1 minute of the Pro-Bowl.

            Update:
The league's plan is for players on the AFC and NFC championship squads not to take part in the Pro Bowl.

Well, there's one less reason to watch it, as if it needed that.

As if players didnt have enough incentive not to play in the Probowl.

If this is the new pattern this is a huge win for the team hosting the SB. Think of the coin rolling in.

I beg to differ. This is an epic fail waiting to happen. Take some of the best players out of the game, in addition to those who will opt not to play simply because the game is a farce anyway? Yeah right. Where can I get tickets to THAT event

it will bring the host city more money than just having the SB...it is a blow to Hawaii.

I still think the Pro Bowl needs to be played in the middle of the season like in every other sport.
