    Jim Kelly

I don't know if this has been discussed before, but would Jim Kelly make a good OC? He called his own plays on one of the most prolific offenses in NFL history. Would he even be interested in the job and would anyone want him here? He really seems to want to be involved in this team.

NO! Why do people always bring crap like this up? Just because we love Kelly and he was a great QB, doesn't mean he is the answer to bad coaching in Buffalo!

He has never coached anything in his life.

How did that Marv Levy as GM thing workout?

Maybe Bruce Smith could be our D coordinator?

I'll take Bruce as our DE coach.

AVP has the same Marchibroda playbook in his head.

Kelly wants to be part of a Bills ownership group, not a coach.

It's not so much about knowing the plays as it is calling them at the right time.

                    Re: Jim Kelly

Like most great players, Jim is probably not cerebral enough, or a serious enough student of the game, to be even a competent coach. Being great on the field, and being a great teacher/creative play caller, are entirely different things.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Screw that, Bruce should just be our DE. He'd be just as affective as what we have now.
