Sticking with Jauron plays well in locker room

Punter Brian Moorman has been with the Buffalo Bills longer than any player other than defensive end Aaron Schobel. Since arriving in 2001, Moorman has played under three different coaches.
He didn't want to play for a fourth.
Thanks to team owner Ralph C. Wilson Jr., Moorman won't have to.
Tuesday's announcement that Wilson was retaining Dick Jauron as head coach was applauded by the players, who have been vocal in support of their embattled boss.
Wilson's decision won't please Bills fans who had called for Jauron's ouster after the team jumped out to a 5-1 start, only to disintegrate into a 2-8 finish and miss the playoffs for the ninth consecutive year.
But Jauron is very popular among the players. While it is not known if that factored into Wilson's decision, he probably was aware of how they felt.
"I think it's a great move," Moorman said. "I'm glad to see Mr. Wilson is on the same page with everybody else in the locker room."
"I think a lot of guys agree this was the best choice," cornerback Terrence McGee said. "Coach Jauron deserves another opportunity. I'm glad he's coming back."
All the players contacted on Tuesday were unanimous in their belief that maintaining continuity on the coaching staff is the best way to ensure the team's continued improvement.

Actually yea, the bills are where we should be year 3 of our rebuilding....next year will be a hard one for us, unless we have a great off season again and get some very good players, we still have a lot of holes to fill... it was the desire not to repeat last years errors that sustain this year this year.. I'm amaze just like everyone else on our success.. But I still think we're year one rebuilding...we won't play a 4th place schedule next year and that's why our team is trying to do something this year...knowing these chances aren't guranteed..

I'm telling you, in Wilson's mind, Jauron's 7-9 Trifecta is success.

I've followed his moves for 41 years, and I understand the way the old coot thinks.

I'm glad sticking with Jauron plays well somewhere cause it doesn't play well on the field.

If they love Jauron so much they should be 16-0. More kids being "good around the holidays" to impress mom and dad.

Re: Sticking with Jauron plays well in locker room

Players that are happy with Jauron are content not making the playoffs and not being part of a championship team. They will enjoy camp Dick and then when the weather gets cold practice indoors. They don't want to risk actually being pushed to the limits to become a champion and actually practice in the elements when it gets cold. Prima donas....

Some one needs to tell these players three years of 7-9 is not improvement. What Miami, Atlanta, Carolina, Baltimore did was improvement. The only thing they improved upon is disappointing its fans earlier and earlier every year.

I gave Dick the benefit of the doubt for 3 years . Not any more.

I think for this team to be successful, Club Jauron needs to disapear. Get out of the ****ing fieldhouse and practice in game-like conditions. Jesus, practice on your own ****ing field! We need some more two-a-days cause these guys are week when it comes down to it.

Again, the players love Jauron because he doesn't hold them accountable and runs super easy practices. They get rewarded for being mediocre and as long as they are close to .500, they are going good.
