During the last two games, the announcers were talking about getting the one timer to Kotalik on the PP. This play has gotten way too predictable.

The Sabres put two guys on the blue line, Kotalik along the left dasher since he's right-handed, about halfway between the blue line and the goal, one guy down low by the net, and one guy by the right face-off point.

They pass the puck around a few times. The blue liner on the left passes it to the point man and heads to the right, so the point man comes to the middle of the ice, fakes the shot, then passes to Kotalik for the one-timer.

It's a great play WHEN YOU DON'T RUN IT EVERY ****ING GAME. The Islanders simply stayed in the passing lane so they couldn't get the puck to Kotalik. The Caps put someone up high to make sure the point man couldn't shoot, then let the goalie read the play to Kotalik and come up with the save.

They need to get more creative on the PP because everyone in the league has this play scouted by now.

They need to get the puck to Spacek more and let him drop a few more of his howitzers.

and didn't we used to have a guy with an Irish name that was good on the PP? Connell or something like that? Whatever happened to that guy?

lack of shooting on the PP has got me p'd off, we pass, pass pas pass, play around, dips6y doodle, pass pass, turn it over or get outworked on the boards then turn it over... its dumb.. pass a few times, and take a shot, not play pass pass pass pass for the whole two minutes.
