When did it become wize to base the whole season upon what happens in the preseason??

Cause I"m seeing a lot of people saying that based on our preseason, we're gonna suck... I seem to remember an era when we always used to suck monkey balls when it came to the preseason and then kicked some behind all year round... All I'm saying is the naysayers should calm down and wait for the season to start instead of saying we're doomed already.... geez....

But Ben, we had good teams, with capable vetrans then.
The problem with pre-sason to me was not the W's and L's
but the lack of execution by the starters when they were in.

Excellent points Buff and that is exactly what bothers me. These guys aren't good enough or proven enough yet to say, "Oh, I didn't get it right this time, but it's only preseason, so I'll tighten it up in regular season." When they make more gaffs in the third & fourth game than the first and second then you have to scratch your head and wonder what kind of progress is being made.

Also, in those years, we had a great team and we knew it. We had nothing to prove. Marv was able to experiment more with the backups.

This year, the preseason is more important. We need to gel. The starting team needed to show that they can get the job done which they did not.

Until I see our offense play a whole game with Drew Bledsoe, I see no reason to write this team off based on preseason play. Things are better than we think.
It's nice to have a real quarterback again.

hey shiny chicken...glad you are still around

i saw no defense, no running game, and a glut of penalties in the preseason. This does not give me a warm fuzzy feeling. i hope that, once the roster is set and the regular season begins, my boys will make me proud.

Amen LOG, Amen. The ViQueens always bragged about 4-0 in the preseason, and look how many superbowls they have been to. 4-0 in the preseason do mean jack to anybody, if we go 0-4 to start the season, then I will get concerned.

It's not the W/L, it's the team's play that's worrying folks, I think. That DOES matter in preseason.

i would have thought that our o-line would have progressed MUCH more at this point, they still look confused by different blitzing patterns

I don't care that the bills are 0-4 in preseason. That means nothing to me.

I do care that the first teams did not, IMO, play as well as I would have liked. That bothers me.

When was the last time someone attempted to be intellectually smart by spelling "wise" with a "z"?
