I posted this in the cap page section a while ago. But CBS just did a piece on this this morning, and I wasn't far off, so I thought I'd bring it here for discussion. Maybe Clump can comment on it if he sees anything right or wrong........
According to the USA Today here:http://content.usatoday.com/sports/f...aspx?year=2008
the Bills paid out $113M this year.
With all their NLTBE, they were allowed to spend $129M. (Every team has a different cap number, due to an adjustment for "NLTBE").
That leaves $16M not paid that could have been.
If they eat up that $16M with more NLTBE this year, and the cap rises $7 as it has each of the past two years, they'll be $23M under headed into the offseason.
This morning, CBS had the Bills at $29,4 Mil under the cap right now. So, my projections weren't far off. But the real number is probably somewhere in between all of that (23-29 Mil).
