all those damn years of collecting his 300-700k.. now collecting 1.5 mill .. to hold a clip board..

he is gonna be so loaded when he retires.. and really never had to do much his entire career.. he obviously doesnt spend his offseasons working out.. and he will live the rest of his life comfortable.. his wife is probably hot as hell too.

i wish i was AVP..

thats all.

Boy ain't it the truth though. I've always said a back-up at a postion had it easy. Maybe one full season with another full season is clean-up/couple games a year duty. Their body's will still be in tact and have tons of money. Think about, a backup for 10 years in the league, at 700,000 a year will have 7 Million when he retires. However I feel that a Punter has one of the easiest jobs of all for the money some get. Especially in practice. They pretty much sit around all week.

He's got it made, :bling: but I'd be going out of my mind if I were in his position and had to come off the bench in a big game. Imagine, you haven't played all season, you're cold as hell on a January day in the Ralph, Bledsoe goes down and now YOU are responsible for rallying the team back from a 7 point deficit in the 4th quarter. You first thought, "Maybe I shouldn't have had that last cannoli at halftime." :ill:

It's roses 99% of the time, but ohhh that other 1%. It's crap yo pants time!

That may be fine and dandy for AVP, but what if he actually enjoys playing the game? I don't think any back-up player is truly happy sitting on the bench, earning a paycheck, if they love the game and want to play. Of course, there are the lazy, good for nothing back-ups out there who do enjoy doing nothing and earning fat sums of money.

What about Todd Collins? Hell, he just got another extension to his contract and has been in Kansas City for many years now and probably only had about 10 snaps in all those years. :D

Actually, I met Brooke once (AVP's wife), and thought she was very pretty. I hear she's a pool shark to give Paul Newman pause.

I read somewhere that AVP was terrible in the recent minicamp. If he doesn't shake off the rust he could have to dip into his savings.
