Ken Simonton earned Offensive Player of the Week honors for the second time in five weeks for his performance in the Claymores' 17-10 loss to Barcelona last Sunday. The Bills allocated running back came within three yards of becoming the first player in NFL Europe history to gain 100 yards rushing and receiving in the same game.

We already have Henry, Gary, Morris, McGahee, Parker and Burns. If this Simonton guy is the real deal, we'll have waaaaay to many. Maybe we should deal away one of them.

We went through this European Football HB hype last year when our RB was leading the league, and he didn't even make the roster cut. I wouldn't get excited about it. Please, not again.

I'd rather have guy after guy kicking ass in the NFL Europe than having nobody. Curtis Alexander was a flop, but maybe this guy won't be.

This might be a dumb request but anyone have a tape of the first day draft or any of the days activities especially pertaining to Willis Magahee's selection?ricogarion@adelphia.net

You mean the one where the Dolphins didn't have a first-rounder ?

Parker, Burns and Simonton have virtually no value as trades. I think McGahee starts the season on the PUP list. Parker and Burns get cut, while Simonton might make the practice squad. I assume he's eligible. I don't think Burns or Parker would be because both have been on active rosters, Burns with the Bills for a while. Henry, Morris, and Gary make the active roster. If by some miracle Parker or Simonton really light things up in training camp, the Bills could, I suppose keep 4 on the active roster or deal Morris somewhere for a future pick, in order to add more speed at RB until/unless McGahee is activated. That would be a huge surprise though.

Willis will be playing by game 8 at the latest. I'm sticking to my guns, the kid will be ready ahead of time.

Anyone that plays RB in NFLE is not going to have a career in the NFL. With the physical demands that are placed on a RB, the only reason a team would ever send one to Europe is because they don't expect anything from you the following year. Think about how gruelling of a schedule that would be for an RB to play NFLE through the summer, then come back and start playing in the NFL and not being able to take any rest because they're borderline on the team (why else would they go to europe).

Playing in NFLE is the kiss of death for the NFL career for an RB.
