(May 7, 2003) -- Minicamps tend to provide few, if any, definitive answers to key questions that teams carry into a season.
But they can at least give us a hint or two of what to expect in the near and distant future.
The following are key questions hovering over four teams and the answers that came out of their recently completed minicamps:
Did Carson Palmer give any indication that he could be ready to play sooner rather than later for the Cincinnati Bengals?
Yes.
Coach Marvin Lewis continues to insist that Palmer, the top overall pick of this year's NFL draft, will begin his rookie season as a backup behind veteran Jon Kitna . That is a sound, logical plan that should benefit Palmer's long-term development as an NFL quarterback. The more he can watch and learn, the better he should be able to perform once he becomes a starter.
