All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Steve Tasker made the list of 25 Hall of Fame semifinalists, but did not make the cut to 15. Former Oakland punter Ray Guy also did not make the cut, so special teams will not have a pioneer candidate on the finalist list.
The biggest thing we learned from the Bills is that they are a resilient bunch and did what they had to do to win instead of past years where they fold like a cheap lawn chair.
For news, articles and other "stuff"... BillsZone.com
I think there is a case for Tasker, but he has little chance with Ray Guy sitting on the outside as well.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?
Its a crying shame... Tasker was a special teams force that has yet to be duplicated in any sort of consistent matter year after year...
Tasker compares the best Pinch Hitter in baseball. Quick tell me who the best pench hitter in baseball was last year without looking it up? I don't know either and that's why guys like Tasker won't make the HOF.

Or Utility Infielder/Defensive Sub
A guy who doesn't excel at his one position but is a specialist of sorts.

Yep, Devin Hester falls in this category too however if Hester was able to duplicate his past success as a return man in 2008 then it might be debatable but alas he didn't and no need to discuss.

Hester is rounding into a very good WR though;
51 catches, 665 yards, 3 TD

I disagree with the pinch hitter comparison... but I find watching baseball to be extremly dull and following it to be even duller...
but Tasker did play ST's almost every game for many years and had many dominating games and a few pro-bowl appearances. I watched that guy go sideline ot sideline and make plays. I watched him get down field so quick and often and make tackles 10 yards in front of the next man coming down field. He is greatly under appreciated IMO
I think Tasker is extremly deserving and would bring some recognition to the ST's part of the game which deserves to be better recognized. It's a huge part of the game, and many times has been a difference maker in games, seasons and championships.
how many players make career out of ST's
Most Valuable Player award (1993 Pro Bowl) - the first special teams player to be named the most valuable player
Seven appearances in the Pro Bowl 1987, 90-95 (six consecutive appearances)
