If he is there in the 3rd round, sure, why not? He comes from a winning culture, seems smart and has a cannon arm, good size.

One of the Mocks I read had the Lions taking Sanchez 1st overall.

weird he doesn't even show up at scout.com top rated QB's neither is Tebow

http://profootball.scout.com/a.z?s=127&p=9&c=12&yr=2009&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&pid=10

this will get sorted out closer to the combine though

The Lions would be stupid not to take him. Their in the market for a franchise q.b.......well, so are the Bills.......ah, forget it.

I didn't like that draft, found it very unrealistic. No way Orakpo and Brown both fall outta top 15. Brandon Spikes is a lock for the top 15, IMO. He is going to make some huge plays tonight, atleast 2-3 I guarantee it. The guy is a house --- 6'4 245lbs and runs a 4.6.. Hardy and Michael Johnson both fall outta the 1st? Can't see it happening.. They had some creative picks that I like but I also think that it was a pretty inaccurate mock.

Hey, Mark Sanchez has already told the press he is going to continue one more year in college football.

Wake up people!

Why he isn't an unquestioned #1 overall QB, in fact I have never even seen him as the #1 rated QB.

If he declares, he is definitely going to be a high first round pick, IMO. He is athletic, tough, productive and has great leadership skills. I don't think he will go #1 overall, but I would expect him to be top 10.

However, he hasn't declared yet, which is why you may not hear about him as much. If he does, the only criticisms I'd have are:

1) Harder to judge him because he is surrounded by so much talent.
2) Leinart's not establishing himself yet gives some pause, since they are compared. Leinart struggles with his accuracy at times, which hurt him more in the NFL than in college.
3) Record for QBs who don't stay in college 4 years is not great

However, I think he is a great prospect and he should be drafted high.

would love to see him as a Bill but sadly our brillant coaches will think edwards is it...

our scouts have to be upgraded our "talent" the last 10 years with a few minor exceptions has been way over estimated hell most would have not made any other NFL team.

yeah I'm beginning to figure that out.

I don't know squat about college football. The offseason is the time I bone up on players

He is my hero and there is no rush by the way, with our coaching staff lets just wait until next draft and pick him!

I hope he can clean the streets better than the last mexican qb we drafted.

Well JP was a big fan of Incubus, I thought he was gonna rock just like Brandon Boyd.

Damn you JP and damn you Shine on.

I don't really understand the talk of high draft round QBs when we have a promising guy in Edwards, and a half dozen other positions of far more critical need.

The Tom Donahoe approach to drafting has already been tried.

Promising you said? I don't think he is that promising to be honest.

I'm not asking to pick himp up, I was just looking for some opinions, as I can't watch a lot of college football. :sorry:
