Though the Jacksonville Jaguars are filling less front-office positions than expected, a league source has filled us in on the comings and goings within the team's new power structure.
According to the source, Rams scouting director Lawrence McCutcheon interviewed last Tuesday for the position of Director of Pro Personnel. Word is that McCutcheon is leaning toward taking the job.
Also, Baltimore's West Coast scout, Art Perkins, has accepted the same position with the Jags.
And on Monday, Terry McDonough interviewed for the position of Executive Scout. McDonough is expected to get the job, per the source.
Despite the changes, the Jags will keep their remaining scouts in place for another year, since their contracts have one more year to go. According to the source, owner Wayne Weaver has a touch of Mike Brown disease, and Weaver doesn't want to continue to pay guys who have been fired.
