Toomer would be a cancer for the Bills

OK, no, he wouldnt... but theres no way that we can sign a guy with a name like that and not make at least one cancer comment.

However, I have never been a big Toomer fan. Hes simply average, thats it... Hes never been anything special. Why sign aguy on the wrong side of 30 who is nothing more than average? I just dont see it.

I think Chris Brown is silly.

I don't think it's a bad idea. He's better than any #2 on the team, and is a team player. By the time a 2 year deal is up, they'd already be able to tell if Hardy can emerge.

We will sign a mediocre player from whatever team wins the superbowl this year, it will show Ralph's dedication to winning.

Aside from Housh, he is the best WR in FA.

Why? Because he is a household name? I'm convinced that better options are available.

                I disagree.

he'd be the perfect 2-year guy as a stopgap at the #2 WR position while the team hopes Hardy and/or Johnson develop. I even wrote about this in an upcoming column.

I dont think he would be that expensive either.

Re: Toomer would be a cancer for the Bills

                    Toomer is old now.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
                    It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

He'd still be good short term as a #2, and give Johnson and Hardy a chance to grow into a starting role in a year or two.

After Lee Evans and Josh Reed the bills have a 5'9 receiver (Parrish) who is non existent in the passing game.. a rookie(Johnson) who caught 10 balls and and another rookie(Hardy) who probably won't be ready for TC

Toomer caught 48 balls this year and would be a inexpensive pick up..Bring him in

Here to point out the obvious....

I think he'd be benign, and easily removed if he proved to be problem.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?
