Dont know if anyone else caught this:

Cam Wake, from the CFL, and Penn State before that... 6' 3" 255
http://blogs.buffalonews.com/billboard/2009/01/in-the-bills-wa.html

Seems like Cam Wake may have some ability. He could just be camp fodder, but the production from the CFL leads me to believe he has a bit more to offer than your typical Undrafted.

I live in canada and ave seen him play. The guy is non-stop..... many teams have shown interest in him. However, for him to go to the nfl and put up the same numbers, i am not so sure about!

The number of sacks from Wake, approximately 23, would be exactly the number of sacks by the Bills for the ENTIRE year! I'd look into the possibilities, nothing ventured nothing gained!

He worked out for the Fins on Thursday. Indy and some other teams are giving him a look as well

Hopefully buffalo will have a edge because its close to home and buffalo needs a pass rusher so he knows he will get alot of snaps.

with our luck this will be our "solution" to the pass-rush problem....

Honestly I wouldnt be surprised if he turns out like a cleaner Hargrove with a few more sacks.

Maybe he's got a V8 hemi or small block

Unless he comes with a jet black body, I'm not interested.

He's definately worth getting. 23 sacks in one year, even in Canada, is still pretty awesome.

Look at the amount of sacks DEs get in college. The CFL is still better than college ball.

I think the guy can play.

Penn State linebacker Derek (Cam) Wake shocked the NFL combine in 2005 with a vertical jump of 45½ inches, the second-highest leap ever recorded among the thousands of collegians tested for pro football careers

Dolphins import pass rusher Wake from CFL (http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/01/18/dolphins-import-pass-rusher-wake/) <!-- p class="post-info-author">By Adam Schefter</p -->

The Miami Dolphins reached into the Great White North to sign Canada’s top available pass rusher.
In the richest contract given to a Canadian Football League player jumping to the National Football League, the Dolphins signed DE Cameron Wake to a four-year deal that could be worth up to $4.9 million, including close to $1 million in guaranteed money, a league source said Sunday night.

actually i heard from a friend of a friend that the bills are looking at drafting another WR with their 1st round pick.

Take it for what it is, a rumor. as this seems to be the place to dump em.

Well that wouldn't surprise me coming from this FO.

I have a friend who works with the Bills front office and Center is such a high priority in their minds that I would be shocked if it isn't our first pick.

The Bills blamed much of their running game woes on Center.

Id put money down that they take a long look at Maclin with the 11th pick.

Its OK that he signed with the Fins... he probably ends up being the next Copeland Bryan... that has some value but isnt what were looking the hardest for.
