The Minnesota Vikings announced today they've agreed to a 10-year contract extention with quarterback Daunte Culpepper. The deal is worth $102 million, including a $16 million signing bonus over 10 years.
"This is one of the greatest days in the history of the Minnesota Vikings," said owner Red McCombs during the team's announcement.

Culpepper, 26, was to be a free agent at the end of this season. The total contract is one of the richest contracts in the league and likely will keep Culpepper with the Vikings until the end of his football career.

That’s more than Drew got from the pats... and he took them to the super bowl, set more pats records than can be counted, and resurrected their mortem-bound franchise. Yeah, I think the Vikes overpaid.
