Rick Stroud, of the St. Petersburg Times, reports the Tampa Bay Buccaneers met with Southern California LB Rey Maualuga Tuesday, Jan. 20. Maualuga said, "They're focused in on the middle linebacker position for myself and asking me if I'm comfortable with the 4-3 scheme or the 3-4. I'm comfortable with both."

During his press conference at the NFL Scouting Combine Thursday, Feb. 19, Florida OT Jason Watkins measured a height of 6-foot-5 1/2 and a weight of 318 pounds. He said among the teams he has spoken with are the Baltimore Ravens, the St. Louis Rams, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Cincinnati Bengals.

During his press conference at the NFL Scouting Combine Thursday, Feb. 19, Louisiana State OG Herman Johnson measured in at 6-foot-7 and 364 pounds. Johnson said he has spoken with the Houston Texans, the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Miami Dolphins, the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills. Johnson, who weighed 385 pounds at the end of the college season, said his target weight is about 350 or 355 pounds.

So they're looking at offensive line depth, since I could easily see Herman Johnson falling to the later rounds.

I'm glad they've talked to Shipley...if they picked him up I'd be ecstatic.

Funny how Mack has talked to more teams than the top 10 draft prospects.

I have a feeling that a lot of these meetings are just getting to know players who aren't as much in the spotlight. I mean, the top ten players have been talked about ad nauseam.
