View Full Version : What is a Super Bowl win worth to a Bills fan?

So, I have a friend who is a Steelers fan. He is in one of those "square" buying games. You know, the ones where if the team scores the numbers you have, you win.

Well, his numbers were 7 for the Steelers, and 1 for the Cards. HE is hoping the Steelers win 27 to 21 so he can win 500$.

I asked him, "What if the Steelers lose 21 to 17, and you win the 500$". He said he would be ok with that.

Now, he isn't hurting for money, but he figured the Steelers have won like 5 already, it wouldn't be a life changer or anything.

My question to you Bills fans, if this was you and the Bills were in the SB, how much money would it take for you to rather the money, over a SB win?

At least $1 Million, but I'm not sure that's enough.

I am beginning to realize my scale maybe should have been a little higher. I should have known from the Bang or Bucks things, the value of a virtual dollar is low, lol.

Dang Jan, you must be rich. But then again, I am a little familiar with your travel habits, so it kinda makes sense.

I'm not rich, just old. Since I don't have as many seasons left as most of you, the value of a win is more important to me.

I guess $5K. It would be too hard to turn down that money that would be able to do things for my family. In that light, a Bills SB victory over the money would be selfish of me. If I didn't have the family to consider, I'd raise it to $50K.

I am thinking around a million, but I could be talked down only a little. I don't mind being selfish just this once.

You can't a price on a championship IMO. To celebrate a Sabres and Bills championship in my lifetime has been a dream of mine all my life. If I had a square in the Giants-Bills game n Super Bowl XXV and had the Giants "0' and the Bills '9' I would still of been rooting for Norwood to make that kick no matter what the payout was and still would of been devastated with the wide right.
Too much pain and suffering as a Buffalo fan. To get the monkey off your back is priceless.

On second thought, it would be selfish of me to deny all Bills fans a championship so I can have money.

How long would 10,000 last you? A year? I can't believe some people would take that over the unending happiness that would be a Superbowl win.

Different priorities I guess...

10K ? Pffft...

With what I've spent on tickets & merchandise over my lifetime, that's a drop in the bucket.

That could fund my alcohol addictions for the next 2-3 years alone, I would certainly be OK with more than 10+k.. If Rooney was on the phone I would force a millie out of him if I had the choice! I'm a really harsh negotiator so it depends on who I'm dealing with.
