I don't care what he said in print before. His HOF selection yesterday may have completed his legacy, in his eyes.

With a SB caliber team seemingly light years away, he could now change his mind about selling or moving. He's a businessman first and this market is weak in the eyes of the NFL. This league is now driven on suites/premium seats and our sales/revenue in that area is rock bottom.

I don't care what Goodell parrots up at the podium. Big market teams will tire of revenue sharing and eventually cut off the smaller market franchises. Ralph is the last of the old guard and the new mavericks could care less about the original plan of " the good of all ". It's all about maximizing profits for their own pockets.

After 2009, the owners will opt out of the CBA and an uncapped year is a distinct possibility, if not a total lockout. How is that good for the small market teams ? You don't think Jeff Littman has the ear of Ralph on doing what's best for Ralph and his heirs ?

Take it year by year because the horizon looks very ominous.

Do what other owners have done...sell a minority partnership to Tom Golisano or someone else who plans to keep the team here. There are quite a few ways where you can set it up, even if you plan on your family NOT running the team anymore....

If Ralph is serious, he needs to open up the wallet and do what's necessary to fill some holes.

Ralph did say the right things yesterday, but I really want to see him actually act upon some of them. How about filling the holes on this team with quality players? Or what about starting the wheels in motion on selling the team to somebody who WANTS to keep it in Buffalo? These things will mean much more to the fans then just a great speech.

Haven't I read around this place how cheap of an owner Golisano is with the Sabre's? So you want to replace one owner that some consider cheap around here with and owner who is cheap?

You just described America and capitialism in general.. Its not just football, its wallstreet, CEO's and much of our government who subscribes to the above theory of profits before people.


Football accepted a salary cap though, which is very socialistic, however that has not stopped wealthier teams from finding ways to circumvent the sytstem...

He has done that with players already. What he repeatedly FAILS to do is address the biggest problem with his wallet, which is the front office. ( GM,Coach etc.).

We could sign an all-star team and Jauron is still the coach on gameday. Think about how much of a difference that makes.

Does anybody really think that Pittsburgh would have such a huge fanbase if they hadn't won those 4 superbowls in the 70s????? I think it's safe to say that if we won those 4 superbowls in the 90's we would have a much bigger fanbase. Winning solves every problem.

My girls father is a good friend of Golisano's neighbor. He says that Golisano wants to buy the bills and have Jim Kelly run it.
