more and more that our Bills are only a Bruce Smith, Kent Hull, Frank Reich, and James Lofton away from a SB win

I truly believe Edwards is the man IF we get a veteran QB to back him up and teach him

What about the coach ?

That's more important than ever in the Cap/FA era. Our current one doesn't cut it.

:drama: Not to spoil a good thread but those players never won a Super Bowl either.

It is very rare that you can get so many HOF type caliber players on one team... Bruce, Thurman, Lofton, Kelly were shoe-ins with Hull, Tasker, Reed, Spielman as potentials... Tasker is in my eyes is the greatest special teams player of all time. No doubt that this team is one of the all time greats and probably will not be duplicted with two of them playing for us next year. I agree we are only a few players away from beiing successful in this league, but I don't agree this team can ever compare to the greats of the 90's Bills...

If the "Kelly Era" couldn't win one out of four superbowls, then why do we torture ourselves and think that Jauron and his crew can do it?

I have to agree but I'd add Pete Metzelaars and Darryl Talley to that list.

all the former bills players mentioned didn't "play not to lose". They wouldn't do anything here based on that phiosophy.

Bruce Smith ----------> dominant pass rusher

Kent Hull -------------> anchor on the OL

Frank Reich-----------> veteran QB who knows he's the #2 but can also help teach

James Lofton----------> veteran/legit #2 WR who can give TE another viable option on offense

At this point in time we don't even have a legit no.1 . I don't want to bring in somone who's satisfied with being a no.2 behind a questionable no.1. I want somone who's gonna push Trent the minute he signs the dotted line and compete for the job all season long.

Anyone who comes in thinking all he's gonna be is a no.2 behind Trent who is unproven is a Turk Shonert. A career back up.
