Do you agree with me on some of this stuff

#1 If we don't draft a TE in round #1 then Tony Gonzalas is worth our #2.
Buffalo can get permission to talk with him, then work a deal!

#2 I prefer David Carr over most of the FA QB's ( Not many will agree with me)
David Carr has a great arm, probably equal to Losman's down field.

#3 I have seen Brian Orakpo anywhere from #3 to the 2nd round in some publications, I would be happy with him at #11

#4 I would keep Jason Peters, no trade. (Why trade him away and create yet another weakness?

#5 With the unknown status for both Aaron Schobel and James Hardy, it would be smart to address the likelihood that both may not play much in 2009.

#6 There is no Center available worth our #11. How long does it take to develop a new Center?
3 years is the average. How much patience do you have? FA is the way to go!
Buffalo could trade up for a center, but I seriously doubt it!

I would rather have Fowler or Preston over a 2nd or 3rd round semi talented Center.

I am sure Trent Edwards feels the same way.

I am just posting my thoughts, you don't need to agree!

Your comments are always welcome and respected here.

But, I would still rather a rookie TE than TG. TG only has about 2 years left.

#1 Won't happen. Gonzo wants to win a ring he wants to goto a team that will give him the best chance this year or next. He will end up in the NFC most likely.

#2 If you're looking for a backup that can start a game or two i have no problem with Carr if the price is right.

#3 I'm not looking at mock drafts till atleast the middle of march.

#4 I have no problem with this. I wish we could trade away his attitude but it's a package deal i guess. I agree not to trade him because this would make things even worse.

#5 DE is a position that needs address regardless of Schobels status. I think hardy will be fine. But i am no doctor although i see one every two or three weeks.

#6 Agreed if the Bills can steal one in the latter rounds then fine. But to get a starter in here now FA is the way to go.

Buffalo was a contender at 5-1 at the trade deadline last year.

I am not buying the rumors that said Gonzo doesn't want Buffalo.

There was speculation, but no proof he ever made those comments.

Would have Gonzo helped improve that 7-9 record, I think the answer is yes

We were contenders at the time.

If you think back there were 3 teams interested.

KC was waiting for a #2 and that never happened.

Tony was also very angry that a deal never happened.

I think he might want to reconsider, Buffalo or KC.

I am not sure any team will give up a #2, not even Buffalo.

                  Buffalo might surprise everyone

I was so close to calling this a perfect post!

But, I dont want Fowler or Preston at C for us... I want a older vet and a draftee that can also play G. The other option is Jason Brown and then a later round draftee or 3 tier vet for depth.

As far as TE, Id love to have Gonzo even if it was a 3rd rounder that we give up... I think a 2nd is too high. But Id also love a rookie, and of these guys would be just fine by me:

                    Pettigrew
                    Coffman
                    Cook
                    Nelson
                    Beckum
                    Ingram

I don't like Fowler and I am unsure with Preston

What I am saying is...I would rather play either of those guys then go through problems with just an average rated rookie center

It makes more sense to me to grab him if we don't get a TE in round #1

TE seem to play longer into their 30's then most positions

Gonzalez definately has a good 2-3 years left...We can address half of our needs this offseason alone. Next year there will be plenty of QB's available if Trent falters and we end up with a top 8 pick. I have watched Orakpo and I am impressed
