If for nothing else than adding vet depth. He knows how to play and he has been a decent player at times.

Why not? Cant be worse than Ellison at the very least.

He would be great depth, but we need a player who can start and make an impact. We have enough second rate players starting on this team, we don't need another.

I disagree... we need to improve our backups considering how often they seem to be playing these days... improving them improves our squad as a whole.

Greenwood makes us better even if its just as a backup.

Didn't I say that? I agree that he would be a nice backup, but I don't want him as a starter. I want positions addressed with proven starters who will make us better, not other team's junk who we hope will help.

Then we agree solely... lets get him.

I want a true starter at OLB as well and this isnt the guy for that, but I do consider Ellison a liability even as a backup.

didn't know Greenwood still played in the NFL, i remember when he was on Syracuse... he was good coming out of college, but by now i think hes up there in years. I doubt we touch him considering this organization doesn't typically touch older vets, at least in recent years they haven't.

Why is he not Webster, or James?

We dont shy away from this type of player.

Hes 30, hes got a few years left, and Im talking about getting better even at the backup position.

Ellison should not be back...the guy is absolutely terrible.

My bad, i thought he was older than 30, i certainly wouldn't mind a look at him

I think Greenwood was a cap casualty. Career-wise, he has been better than Crowell, he's still only 30, and has been very durable. I'd take him in a minute at the right price.
