The Buffalo Sabres made sure they will open the season with at least one of their good young goaltenders when they signed rookie Mika Noronen to a two-year contract. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Noronen has played the last three seasons in Rochester and threatened to play in Finland unless the Sabres assured he would be in the National Hockey League next season. Still think Biron is going. No way are they going to pay him..

He and Warrener are goners in my book, unless we get new owners.

Don't forget, I was the first to say that Cujo would be a Red Wing, and all the experts who played the game poo poohed me. Also said that Belfour would be a Leaf. Belfour will work out for them, wait and see.

i have to agree, double E.i think we're in for a firesale this year.i think these big contracts will have to go for the new owners.
but i feel that we have the young talent to give other clubs fits.
