Interesting. But, did you watch every game, or do you have a link. Not that I don't believe you, but this sounds like an interesting source.

The list was compiled by someone else but you can find the stats for the individual players here.

Stats. lie. Jason Peters was a Pro-Bowler this year. :snicker:

Look at the right side - Butler/Walker: 4 Sacks combined. While Dockery did not have the best of seasons, when your partner in crime holds out and then shows up a step slow for a few weeks (or a season...) bad things happen.

Here's to hoping Jason keeps his word.

This isn't apples to apples and I'm not exonerating (sp?) Peters - but

Peyton Manning throws the ball away before being sacked about 95% of the time. He looks nervous as hell in the pocket, shuffling his feet in place, but he almost always sees or feels the rush. It is a genuine surprise to see him sacked.

Trent and JP haven't done this....and then JP throws that Fran Tarkenton crap in there and fumbles on top of it. Maybe Trent needs to make better reads or have a guy get open, too, but you know what I'm saying.

Do they explain how they compile these numbers or assign "blame" for these sacks?

You know what is strange, he gave up most of his sacks in the 1st 5-6 games he played, the Bills were 4-1 or 4-2.

Plays better, blows people up in the run game, the Bills are 2-6 with him playing at a pro bowl level.

What does this tell you? If the QB sucks, it doesn't matter how your LT is playing.

I think the holdout really screwed him up. Dick even commented on that mid point into the season. Its seems (according to Solomon's story) that Jason realized it screwed him up too and doesnt want a repeat.

If he doesnt hold out, I think we should expect 07 type numbers. This isnt a problem with Peters ability to hold up the pass rush, its that he wasnt in playing condition for a good chunk of that.

It's kind of unfair to compare Trent in his first year starting and JP the Clown to one of the best QB's ever.

JP was sacked 15 times in 104 attempts
TE was sacked 23 times in 374 attempts

PM 14 in 555

Cassell 47 in 516
Ben 46 in 469

I think his promise not to hold out might be slightly motivated by the amount of 1st round talent at his position.
