P Chris Hanson and LB Danny Clark became the latest Jaguars veterans to sign one-year tender offers this week.

Hanson, who was an exclusive-rights free agent, signed for $375,000. Clark, a restricted free agent, signed for $605,000.

Hanson, the only Jaguars player named to the Pro Bowl last season, hoped to get a long-term deal, but he had no leverage. As an exclusive-rights player, he wasn't allowed to negotiate with any other team.

Clark, who started all 16 games last season and had 54 tackles and five sacks, didn't receive any other offers.

Four-day camp nears
The Jaguars will hold a four-day passing camp at Alltel Stadium Monday through Thursday.

The four sessions without pads will be closed to the public and the media will be allowed to view only Monday's session.

The camp is voluntary, although the majority of the veterans are expected to attend. Rookies aren't allowed to attend.

Edwards promoted
Dan Edwards, 44, was promoted to vice president of communications and media. He already was in charge of the communications and broadcasting departments and will now run the community relations department and the team's Internet site.
