I agree but it is possible, l I just don't think Gilbert is going to be the guy to do it. He is known for his lower leg strength, not his upper body strength.

I think Peria Jerry and Ron Brace could both take a run at it. Im going to say Jerry gets it with 44 reps.

Alex Mack with 41. Rationale: He's strong, and one of the criticisms I've heard concerning him is that his arms are a little on the short side for an offensive lineman. Short arms are a disadvantage when trying to grapple with a big DT, but an advantage when it comes to the bench press. That's also a reason why I'd stay away from Jarron Gilbert as a pick in this one.

I'm putting my money on Wisconsin OG Kraig Urbik! Midwesterner, corn fed, USDA prime cut OL. I say that he does 45 reps or so at the combine. My buddy lives in Wisconsin and sees a whole lot of Mark Tausher in this guy!!

He's got a shot as he's a gym rat, you just don't see many 245-265 guys win the bench press.

You know what? I was just about to type that in until I saw your post. Apparently Orakpo can bench 500lbs+ so he has to atleast be in that vicinity.

Well I got Orakpo now after seeing his vid. Id say he gets around 47-52
