    Pettigrew in the 2nd?

Well after buffalo only 3 teams need a TE, Philly, Tennesse, and Arizona. Tennesse will probably sign someone in FA, Philly needs more on the OL and wont waste the pick on a TE and Arizona needs a RB before TE. Now in the 2nd round top 11, no one but STL needs a TE and once again STL nees alot more before going into TE. You could make the case for Detroit but still, alot more needs than TE.

    1st- Brown
    2nd- Pettigrew
    3rd- Luigs

I forgot about them. Well dont they also need a DT more? If Peria Jerry falls to them then theyll snatch him up.

He won't drop out of the first. we should take him at 11.

Pettigrew is a bad apple - if we are looking for a TE in the 2nd we go for Coffman.

We already have enough off-field problems with Lynch

We don't need another pass blocking TE, we need a dynamic TE who can run, open up the middle of the field and catch passes.

You do know that Pass blocking is a weakness for Pettigrew, right?

He is considered a good pass blocking TE and not necessarily somebody who can stretch the field. I'm not interested in those types of TE's...we've had them for the last number of years...it's time for a different kind of TE.

Here is a link to show that his strength IS pass blocking and not playmaking and stretching the field.

Um....he won't last that long. And Luigs would be one of the worst choices at C for us.

He's a playmaker who can make a big play but you are right he is a very good blocker and not a stretch the field type of a TE. There isn't really one of those in this draft whose not an absolute liability in run blocking, or coming off a big time injury.

We have far more critical needs at 11 than a Pettigrew-type TE - unless he can turn around and become a pass rushing demon of an OLB/DE on defense.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Sign me up for a TE in the 3rd bandwagon. This class is unusually deep at TE.

True, I just don't want a guy like Pettigrew. He's just a normal TE, I want a stretch the field type who can make plays. That might not be possible this year or we may find one later on in the draft. I just don't want to waste a first rounder on a player like Pettigrew.
