Fullback Josh Parry understands both the Eagles offensive and defensive systems quite well these days. After trying out for the team as a linebacker in both the 2001 and 2002 training camps, he's here now on the other side of the ball.
This is a story of a player who will play any position, any time, to make it to the NFL.
“Josh came to us as a linebacker having played that at San Jose State. However, we chose to move him to fullback. Josh just wants an opportunity to play and make the team. He caught the ball very well as a linebacker and we thought he’d have the opportunity to make our football team as a fullback, because of the skills that he showed at linebacker,” said head coach Andy Reid, when explaining why the coaching staff chose to move him to the fullback position.
