I know there are details still to find out, but I don't think he's getting off free this time...

4 seems to be the standard 1st suspension policy.

I think it depends on how much of a hard-*** the commish wants to be...

OK I'm really starting to question his judgement.

How screwed up is his head? Does this translate to his ability to make the right choices on the field?

Just wondering.

doubt it. did LT's choices compare to his on-field play/choices? nope. no im not comparing Marshawn in any way, only to illustrate how people can be immoral pieces of human garbage yet still be amazing football players.

Fred Jackson can carry the weight. Lynch will be getting a 4 gamer on this one.

can't we just go back to the happy talk like last week where we heard about the rumor that the Bills might be interested in Haynesworth.

Those were happier times... way back when

What a relief knowing we have Jackson .... well a relief knowing he is an RFA anyways

I think he gets 4. And I'm willing to bet when he gets back to Buffalo, his mom is going to turn him over her knee. I hope she can provide some life skills to her degenerate son.

You know what? That actually excites me a little bit to see what Fred Jackson can do. Alot of people are on the fence as to whether or not he can carry the load the majority of the time and be the primary back. Clearly if Fred Jackson excels as the feature back, Lynch suddenly becomes tempting to use as trade bait.

I love Freddy Jackson, but his "use by" date is fast approaching. He's 27, Lynch is 22. NFL backs are considered old at 29-30.....Lynch will get either 2 games or 4, depending on some legal meandering, IMO...

I guess he did play in NFL Europa for a while as well but his wear and tear probably isn't as significant as most other NFL backs would be at his age. I think at the least you get 2-3 good years out of Jackson, you could probably extend his shelf life if you brought in a bruiser to help carry the load for him.

I'm going with zero on this one. Lynch will do as my updated user title suggests and the rest will be history.

He may or may not get suspended over this, but I lean towards no suspension since it was a non-violent act. He had a gun in the trunk it's not like he was waving it around or acting hard in a night club.

Judging by this quote by Goodell:

"We're looking at repeat offenders and we may not wait for the process to conclude when we have repeat offenders. You can have false accusations once, maybe twice. When you start getting to multiple (arrests), you're putting yourself in the wrong position, you're making the wrong decisions in the wrong places. At that point in time, you're reflecting poorly on the NFL itself, your teammates."

I say 4 games.
