Nathan Gerbe was putting pressure on himself to put up numbers in the NHL. Through 10 games the rookie had just one assist so he's going back to Portland. Paul Gaustad returns from a shoulder separation and takes Gerbe's spot on the LW with Derek Roy and Drew Stafford.

Lindy Ruff said Maxim Afinogenov and Henrik Tallinder are very close to returning. Both are practicing fully. Afinogenov alternated on the Jochen Hecht line.

Hecht, Clarke MacArthur and Jason Pominville had one of their better games of the season in Toronto. Lindy Ruff said he sat the line down and had them explain why their games were so noticable against the Leafs. He felt they moved their feet from the defensive zone on up which got them skating and on the puck when they got to the offensive zone

Hecht, Kotalik and Pominville are very trade-able in my opinion.

It's good to see the goose back in the building

Great to see Tallinder close to returning. The PK has been crap w/o him.

Which Dman goes out when Tallinder comes back.

Personally I sit Teppo.

I would have kept Gerbe and sat Paille, even though he played well against Toronto. The guy has been useless for almost 3 months now.

Umm, I'm pretty sure Doc can tell you who I would take out! :D:

Hey, even I said Teppo was fine as a 55-60 games guy. I love Lindy, but he is overplaying him.

Sit Teppo when Hank gets back, and rotate Butler out occasionally (he is likely to hit the rookie wall soon).
