6' 5" 246, 35 3/4" arms (longest so far), 23 reps, ran a 4.42!!! a 4.42! for a frikkin TE! (obviously the fastest so far)

a 41 inch vertical! (highest so far)

10' 3" long jump (longest so far)

Guy is a STUD!

Maybe in the weight room but he sure wasnt a stud in college in a pass happy offense

The Vernon Davis of 2009?

Not really - Davis pretty much had the offense at Maryland run through him, whereas Cook was a part of a pretty spotty offense with McKinley at WR.

And his game isn't his speed like Davis was going into the draft - it is his route running (being a former WR) and his hands.

If he's there in the 2nd we should take a look at him.

I agree. I'd like to know whether or not he was underutilized in college, but he's got all the measurables you'd want in a TE.

Then you never watched him... I watched most of their games.

he made big plays at big moments. Hes a very good receiving TE who does an adequate job of blocking.

Hes my #2 TE, but with that bench, Beckum is rising again.

Cook looked good as did Nelson.

Nelson ran a 4.56 and was 3rd in the 3 cone drill.

Also I'm looking on NFL.com right now and it shows Cook ran a 4.50 flat?

Nelson ran a 4.56.

Thats very good and hes a bit underrated... hes becoming the #3, and maybe a mid-2nd rounder.

Its possible Cook may not drop to 42 now.

Good news is theres plenty of guys.

I just saw 4.50... its still the fastest and damn fast for a TE.

Its cool in my mind... Hes fast, probably the fastest TE in the draft so it doesnt matter alot to me.

Hes a very good looking prospect IMO. Ive been talking his game up since early in the college season. He has good hands, stretches the field, he can play.

I'm pretty excited about Ingram as well, it looks like he got the burst back and he's recovered fully from his ACL tear. Ingram should go no later than the 3rd round now for sure.

He had a combined 4 rec and 31 yards in his last three games showing he couldnt create separation from above avg S's because of his sloppy route running plus they hardly ever run to his side b/c he cant nor is he willing to become a good blocker

But then again i'm the one who didnt watch him

He made big plays at big times and laid down blocks at times as well. 3 recpt. for 68 yards aint bad for a TE against #2 Georgia. 74 yards on 5 recpt vs. #13 LSU

Hes a receiving TE first and foremost. Hes not as well rounded as Pettigrew, thats why I dont have him as my #1. But hes a bigger TE than Beckum, and has more explosiveness than Coffman, Nelson, or Casey. He has very good hands.

No, hes the #2 TE available IMO.

As far as stats go, the So Car. Smelley only managed to post 1922 yards, thats not much production. Yet still Cook was there #2 in receiving yards with 573 on the team. He played on a 7-6 team... Im sure that was Jared Cooks fault

I bring an opinion, its your choice whether you want to take or leave it.

3. Coffman
4. Casey

Well I obviously dont agree.

I see it as:

1. Pettigrew
2. Jared Cook
3. Shawn Nelson
4. Chase Coffman
5a. Travis Beckum
5b. Cornelius Ingram
6. James Casey

If Beckum lasts as long as some think, he'll be the steal of the draft. He's the best pure receiver of the group and it turns out that he's plenty strong enough.
I can't find numbers for anything except the bench press. He has good playing speed, I know that from watching him. I would have no problem whatsoever with using a 3rd on him and it looks like he might last even longer than that. It's a shame because he would have been at least a second rounder last year.

I was pleasantly suprised at his bench. Ingram is another guy no one should sleep on.

the worst part is that i would be ok with any of these guys.. but in the 3rd round we will end up taking Bo Nobody from North Eastern Polytechnical Stratford State University.

Yep. Didnt you know that the Bo Nobody from North Eastern Polytechnical Stratford State University is the best #3 TE in the NCAA. Heck of a blocker too.

how exactly do they measure arm length... is it the same as for a suit? 35 3/4" arms for someone who is 6'5" seems really short
