    Miller OUT indefinitely!

I just read the newspaper while stuffing them. According to the Rochester D&C, Ryan Miller sustained a high ankle sprain in the3rd period when that jackass, Scott Gomez upended him. He is out indefinitely. Damn it!

He'll probably miss 2-3 weeks or so IMO.

High ankle sprains take long to heal so this isn't good. He'll be rested for the PO if the Sabres make it. Looks like Enroth will be making his NHL debut before too long.

Hopefully Lalime will use the extra playing time to start playing good....that will be the only thing to save us...

          Re: Miller OUT indefinitely!

Lalime has been a huge disappointment this season. I hope he can step up his game with more playing time but he has done nothing to to instill confidence in him to get the job done.
While they are still the 7th seed and currently in the playoffs they definitely have the cards stacked against them with Vanek and Miller out.
Anyone who has had a high ankle sprain know it takes a very long time to heel. If the Sabres make the playoffs it probably will still effect him for most if not all of the playoffs.

The NJ Devils lost the best goalie in the world for almost 4 months and a little used backup led them to the third best record in the east and they are the hottest team in hockey and a favorite for the cup.

They were able to weather the storm and excel because other players stepped up, it’s a test to see if Buffalo can do the same.

Uggh...this is not good news. Let's see if any of these guys can grow a pair and man up.

I have some hope in Lalime.

Lalime would go on to set an NHL record with the longest unbeaten streak to begin a career (16 games with a 14–0–2 record) before suffering his first defeat on January 23, a 4–3 OT loss to the Colorado Avalanche.

                * On May 2, 2002, Lalime became the fourteenth goaltender in NHL history to record four shutouts in one postseason, with a 27-save, 5–0 victory, in Toronto over the Maple Leafs. The win gave Lalime's Senators a 1–0 lead in their Eastern Conference Semifinal series.
                * Owns the Senators record for wins in a season (39 in 2002–03), and in a career (146), along with career playoff wins (21).

I still like Lalime, he never gets goal support. In 8 of the 13 games he played in our team scored less than 3. Our defense seems to play alot better when millers in net.

maybe this will do Lalime good, because now Lindy is forced to play him.....Afterall, look at Conklin. He's kicking ass in Detroit, yet he sucked in Buffalo. Could it maybe be that the team is not willing to give a chance to the backups to get a rhythm, so they keep sucking? Hmmm..... I guess we'll see.

Exactly. Thats what happened with Conklin, too. Our team doesnt play confident when they have a backup goalie in net.

It really makes no sense though, I would play harder knowing we had our backup in. Maybe knowing that Miller will be out sometime, they'll step up their play in front of Lalime.

Watch, Lalime comes in looking like Luongo.. pullin' shutouts. Then Miller comes in and sucks, causing us to miss the playoffs
