I almost forgot about the annual free agency contest. Seeing how I have a lot of Zone Bucks to toss around, I'm going to increase the prize. So, here we go....predict who the first big free agent (Free Agency begins on Friday, February 27th, and also it can not be a player from the 2008 Bills team) will be that the Buffalo Bills will sign and also predict the date. If someone predicts the exact date and player, you will win 200,000 ZBs. If you only get the player, the prize is 100,000 ZBs.
One guess per person.

Oh and if you want to get even more detailed and give a time that is within an hour of the actual time, you will get another 50,000 ZBs.

If there is more than one winner, the prize will be split.

A little hopeful since he's a player I covet as a "realistic" option. But he flourished and was ultra-productive in the Cover 2 w/the Jets in '04 and '05 (DROY and then a Pro-Bowler), and the Bills have at least said they're not unilaterally opposed to moving Posluszny to strongside (not that this player doesn't have the talent and versatility to play the weakside, which would move Mitchell to the strongside, the position which he played for the Giants).

It'll be at this point that they let everyone know that TJ Houshmanzadeh is in back watching this conference and is the middle of negotiating a 5 year deal. The only reason they haven't been able to sign him is that he's unsure of playing for another small market team. It'll be then when Ralph Wilson gets wind of his concern, and announces that the team is just minutes away from finalizing a deal to sell the team to Jim Kelly, who has a young mexican hot dog vendor from Vegas as his main investor.

Jim Kelly gets up on stage and talks of his plans to build a new stadium on Lake Ontario. TJ puts his Herbie Hancock on the contract papers right there in front of everybody.

And the townspeople will rejoice.

I think the first big name will be Jeff Saturday, but we'll take forever to pull the trigger on the deal and lose out on a couple of others because of it.

As he's a career depth player in the lines of Spencer Johnson, Robert Royal et all that we seemingly pursue and easily land. As it gives us LB that is young, having only played four years but offers up some upside and a possibly replacement for Angelo Crowell. Yet he'll ultimately prove to be nothing much more then a backup and be cut in two seasons like Matt Bowen, Craig Nall and Larry Tripplett.
