Ragone happy he's a Texan, has no regrets

Twenty minutes after the Texans wrapped up a morning minicamp session, Dave Ragone is still alone in the end zone of a practice field working on his footwork and throwing mechanics.

He goes almost unnoticed until he is stopped as he makes the long walk back to the locker room across the street at Reliant Stadium.

That's the way things have been most of his life.

Simple. Attention that barely registers a blip on the radar screen.

No hoopla (although his bobblehead sold for $20 on the Louisville campus last year.)

Ragone, a quarterback taken by the Texans in the third round of last month's draft, is living a lifelong dream. So far he admits the start to his NFL career hasn't been "the fairy tale I thought it was going to be."
