Re: Dockery released!
SO it costs us 5.4 million in cap space to release the guy. We save nothing.
Pure genius move... we save nothing and we create a hole.
Does this make sense to anyone ? I would rather have kept Dockery on the books for another year even as a backup if it was going to cost us cap space to release him.Last edited by ddaryl; 02-26-2009, 09:19 AM.

Re: Dockery released!
Didn't show he was worth the money we paid him...for this year it doesn't help much as illustrated by Clump in other threads...but is a wise business and personnel move for the future.
Mad props to Pat for calling this one earlier!

Clump, could we cut Dockery?
Or would it kill us cap- wise? I am thinking it could free up some money and maybe we could get better bang for the buck elsewhere?

Re: Dockery released!
Interesting.
Either the Bills FO has big plans, and has already lined up a replacement that is going to impress the hell out of us, or they just screwed up spectacularly.
I'm hoping it's the former, I expect it to be the latter.

The Bills will have to accelerate $5.4 million against their cap, but a big contract is off their books. And Dockery is on the market.Last edited by ddaryl; 02-26-2009, 09:24 AM.
