Here is a list of some potential signings for the Bills that may not be as well known but could be big time contributors...

SAFETY:

Gerald Sensabaugh (Jaguars) (Had injury issues but is a very good all-around safety

Sean Considine (Eagles) (Eagles had Dawkins and Mikel)

Josh Bullocks (Saints) Would probably have more success playing in a better D)

James Butler (Giants) (Big guy who can run (6'3 220) and tackle. Plenty of starting experience including starter in the super bowl.

Vincent Fuller (Titans) This guy actually played a big role on the Titans D. Diamond in the rough type of guy. Very good at covering receivers in the slot also.

Will Allen (Tampa Bay) He's an Ohio State guy so naturally the Bills will have some interest. Someone with more knowledge of Tampa area players might have more insight on him)

Gibril Wilson (Raiders) Tackling machine who covers a lot of ground vs pass and run. Suffered in Raiders D.

LINEBACKER:

Michael Boley (Atlanta) Had some great seasons but was benched last year for Coy Wire. Will probably re-gain form with a new team.

Takeo Spikes (49ers) Really got back to playing good football last season registering 96 tackles and 3 ints. Probably has 2 or 3 more seasons left in him.

Marcus Washington (Skins) This guy has been a very solid LB over his career. Injuries have set him back the last 2 years but when healthy he is one of the best in the league. At 6'3 244 he is a strong run stuffer and is can also drop into coverage very effectively.

DEFENSIVE TACKLE:

Rocky Bernard (Seattle) Bills fans were hoping to sign this guy 3 or 4 years ago when he was a FA. He decided to stay on in Seattle though. Rocky is a pass rushing DT that is also tough against the run. Still only 29.

Tank Johnson (Dallas) Yes he has had a run in with the law but he has been "clean" for a while now and he is a prototypical cover 2 DT. Tank holds up extremely well against the run and collapses the pocket on passing downs.

Jovan Haye (Tampa Bay) Pure pass rushing DT. Not huge at 6'2 285 but still effective in the run game and gets after QBs. 8.5 sacks in 2007.

Dewayne Robertson (Denver) A player looking to revive his career after his stint with the Broncos horrible defense. Robertson could really thrive in Buffalo's cover 2 scheme that will allow him to chase the QB. Playing next to Stroud would also free him up quite a bit.

Shaun Cody (Lions) I dont think this guy ever really got a fair shot in Detroit. Was supposed to be a big time guy coming out of USC. Jauron was the D coordinator that drafted him so there's definitely history there.

A couple of RFA DTs to keep on eye on:

Kedric Golston (Skins), Kevin Vickerson (Titans)

CENTER:

Brad Meester: (Jaguars) The Jags have always been one of the top rushing teams in the league and Meester was a big part of that. At 31 he still has about 2-3 years left in him which is enough for the Bills purposes.

Guards:

Cooper Carlisle: (Raiders) Carlisle is an excellent run blocker particularly on the move which would give the Bills a different dimension on the OL and provide depth.

Seth McKinney: (Browns) Has been a solid starter in the league and would provide depth the Bills dont have.

Chris Kemoeautu: (Steelers) Is probably looking for starting guard money but if he can be had at a good price he is definitely worth it.

WR:

Ashley Lelie: (Raiders) Has played good football early in his career but has played on bad offenses recently. He can turn things around with a more stable offense.

Jerry Porter (Jaguars) Same as Lelie but with more potential.

Jabar Gaffeny (Patriots) Gaffney has been a solid performer for the Pats. Granted he played in an insane offense but he still has the skills to be a dependable #2 receiver for other teams.

RFA WR to watch for:

Malcolm Floyd: Huge WR at 6'5 225. Has not been given the opportunity to produce as a #2. Floyd might be overlooked by the Chargers given their other needs and priorities. Excellent red zone threat with 4 TDs last year in limited time.

Obviously there are other more well known FAs the Bills can go after but I just wanted to highlight a few of the more unknown FAs that we might see visiting at OBD.

For some reason, Steelers fan hate Kemoeautu - anyone know why?

Remove Spikes from the list. He doesn't want to come here.
