<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p> </o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Center: No center is even on the roster (<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:place w:st="on">Preston</st1:place> and Fowler UFA. Even if they sign <st1:place w:st="on">Preston</st1:place> it wont be to start)<o:p></o:p>
Prediction: Matt Birk (though I want Saturday)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Tight End: Derek Fine and Schouman? I’m sure someone is coming soon.<o:p></o:p>
Prediction: Draft<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Backup QB: They’re not going with <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Hamden</st1:City></st1:place> as the #2, that’s for sure.<o:p></o:p>
Predition: Jon Kitna (would be happy with Fitzpatrick too)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Left Guard: Brad Butler is the only guard on the roster (Whittle UFA, Dockery cut). They’re obviously getting a new left guard.<o:p></o:p>
Prediction: Jason Brown (anything else is probably a downgrade)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
DE: Maybe not FA, but this will be addressed one way or the other.<o:p></o:p>
Prediction: Draft<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
OLB or MLB: I think they know Ellison isn’t a starter. They are either getting an OLB or a MLB and moving Pos outside.<o:p></o:p>
Prediction: Boley (<st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Atlanta</st1:place></st1:City>)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Also, possibly a safety. Not sure if they believe in Scott as a full-time starting SS, definitely am moving Whitner to FS.
Prediction: Would love Phillips, but don’t think its happening.<o:p></o:p>

I hope your wrong. Or Fitzpatrick is really the ****.

yer looking at a OL by that theory which probably gets Trent killed.

least we agree on Boley, and that we would both love Phillips.

There are 7-8 OC's Id say at this point are upgrades over Preston and Fowler on Day 1 and Kemo is a good OG with a nasty mean streak. Its a down grade yes but not a huge one.

Im not really concerned with Trent's health, I dont think he's the answer or that we are going anywhere this season so Im more concerned with the next two drafts and looking to the 2010 or 2011 season to make a move for the playoffs. That's not saying I want the guy to get hurt or completely blow either though.

Didn't Boley get benched for Coy Wire this year? Has Cato June completely lost his mojo?

Holes to fill...
(1) starting G - Jason Brown
(1) starting C - Matt Birk
(1) starting TE - Owen Daniels
(1) starting WR - TJ Housmanzadeh
(1) starting OLB - Keith Brooking
(1) rotational DE - Antonio Smith
(1) rotational DT - Rocky Bernard
(2) back-up interior 0-line - Draft

Obviously pretty optimistic

Can say the same thing about Jim Leonhard when he was with Buffalo.

I think boley is a good fit.

For all the complaints on Ellison being undersized and running around blocks, boley's 223-224.

So how is he an upgrade, when Wire had to replace him on run downs?

looks awesome to me, but if we gave up the first for daniels, the whole thing sucks.

On WalterFootball.com, he has added Dockery to his rankings. Says he gave up 8 sacks last year and 5 holding penalties? Not sure teh accuracy but that sucks! Kemeoutu (sp?) gave up more!

Boley may be of similar size but plays bigger. He is a very similar player to Crowell but with more playmaking skills.

Now I love a good discussion!

Thanks for that info DB!

I know we discussed him earlier, but I hadn't looked at the weights. I began to be a little concerned that he's 4-5 pounds lighter than Ellison, but at 6'3 is a bit bigger.
