Would be an awesome pick up. Not only is a good player, but he is a good guy also. I heard an interview on Sirius with him and I was very impressed with his character.

I would love if we signed him. Most people feel Scott is a starter in this league but i dont see it well in Buffalo maybe nowhere else would he even get consider good backup tho

id love it too, but I think we're going to worry about other positions first.
I dont think Phillips will be out there for very long, this kid is a player.

To me theres a pretty good sign were actually going to throw some money at a few players, Jason Brown and Jermaine Phillips could be those guys. Someone also mentioned Donte Whitner's status was finally free hence free safety but who knows..

11INT's last 3 seasons is a solid number for a hard hitting safety like him.

He is what Whitner has SUPPOSED to have been.

I'd rather go a little younger for Safety. He's turning 30, the "beginning of the end" for top safety play

I do too. Phillips isn't a necessity but I think he would still be an upgrade at the position and Scott gives us instant depth at safety.

Your nuts Scott is a nice fill in and depth guy but he is nowhere near a Jones or Phillips. Id prefer to land both Phillips and Jones and either move Donte to CB or trade him while his value is still good. Combining a ball hawking FS with a crushing hitter in Phillips is the ideal safety combo in a Cover 2, especially since both can cover the field with their athleticism. We won't do that but I hope we at least land one of these guys.
