Get your sleep boys and girls.

NO big FA signing is happening tonight (for the Bills)

If any big name FA gets a crazy offer from the Bills, they will shop that offer around to see if it could be matched.. Would YOU come to Buffalo for the same price as most other cities in FA's first few hours?

Now tomorrow late morning/early afternoon could be another story.

So, I wont stay up late for Ralph to have a presser... we all know thats a waste of time.

I will stay up late because I think we will know (with some admitted uncertainty) well before tomorrow morn who our likely first signees are.

if its a low end guy or maybe a mid level guy than yes possibly.

If its a guy like TJ, Haynesworth, or a big name guy like that-- aint happening for a long while.. THey will shop other offers around.. Nobody is coming to Buffalo unless we are paying the more money.

And I am usually accused of being a homer.

I am probably one of the most positive and optimistic people here.

I've got an exam tomorrow...so yes I'm staying up, unfortunately. But it won't be for too awful long. I remember last year - I stayed up til about 2-3 a.m. and NOTHING happened except the Dolphins got Smiley. Man was that disappointing.

After messing up the hard drive on my computer yet AGAIN (after spending most of the last three months installing programs on it) as I was trying to retrieve some data from my old HDD, I borrowed a slow, old computer with Win 98 on it just to see what the Bills would do tonite/tomorrow, so, yeah, I'll be up until at least 4 am to see what, if anything, the team does.

So far, the only thing that I have heard is that A.Scheffter is reporting that Goeff Hangartner, an OG/C who started 8 games at center for the Panthers is scheduled to visit the Bills on Friday.

KFFL has him listed as the starter at RG and backup at C and LG on their Panthers' depth chart. From what I could pick up, he played pretty well filling in for R.Kalil at center last season.

I really think that with the way the economy is owners are not going to be throwin around the cash like in years past.

I'm sure by monday the albert haynesworths of the FA market will be gone. But there will still be some good talent. Superstars? Maybe not but there could be a few diamonds in the rough. So don't get pissy when you see by 6am this team has not signed anyone. Because at this point only Wash and NYJ have signed a player and that player was on thier roster last season.

agreed, i think with the uncertainty of that lack of a salary cap in a few years, there will be some relatively small contracts

Something tells me that we will see our usual 2-4 players come in for a visit today. One of them will be a bigger name and will be announced later this afternoon, along with that C/G from Carolina.

well can't say no one has signed anywhere...

there's been a few minor signings, but none of the prized Offseason possessions have been obtained yet

Michael82

I haven't seen a single new signing yet. Just a couple teams that re-signed their players.

Yeah, the only notable signing so far was the Redskins re-signing Me-Angelo to a ****ing ridiculous contract.
