View Full Version : NOW should the Sabres be sellers at the deadline?

I don't believe this team is a team that can go anywhere in the playoffs if they make it.

Many of you wanted to keep Connolly and sign him to an extention, well how about now? Kotalik is great at the shootout, should we still keep him? How about Spacek, an experienced defenseman that many teams could be looking for?

There is nothing these people are adding to the team right now that some of the Portland guys wouldn't be adding.

My prediction? Darcy waits until minutes before the deadline and picks up a journeyman.

They should be sellers...they became sellers the minute Vanek went down...problem is who would want what the Sabres have to sell?

Who would want a play making center and a veteran defenseman? Seriously? I'm not saying they will get first rounders defenitely or top prospects. Another couple Gaustad types would be great though. Maybe if one of them had a little better touch around the net too.

yes...because a couple of more Gaustads will bring this team to 7th...maybe. They have enough Gaustads.

play making center - Connolly? with his injury history you'll be lucky to get anything for him.

veteran defenseman - Spacek? what are you really going to get for him.

There is nothing of super value on this team that they are going to give up.

Connolly will get us a high draft pick. I could also see us trading Kotalik too.

You're high...and draft picks in the NHL aren't worth much.

Who wouldn't want a great Shootout player for the playoffs?

you got to make the playoffs first...the sabres would be further behind without him.

Doesn't it always feel like this FO has given up on the season? I mean they rarely make moves to improve the team, so it is a little hard to see them actually waking up and finally doing something right.
