Will The Bills Try Some RFA Offer Sheets Again ?

If the UFA's won't come or are short at various need positions, will we see a few Offer Sheets in the next week ?

Guards like Jahari Evans of New Orleans, Harvey Dahl of Atlanta

    Safety Jarrad Page of KC

    OLB Rashad Jeanty of Cinci

DE Victor Adeyanju of St. Louis

RFA Owen Daniels is on everyones mind but we need a lot more than that. Trades or offer sheets may be the only way to get more needed help, prior to the draft.

Evans wouldnt be bad. What's his tender? Dahl is another OG who would be a good pickup if he was given a low tender.

Another name is Malcolm Floyd who is a 6'5 WR from San Diego. Floyd got a 2nd Round tender from San Diego though...

Honestly Id give Adeyanju a shot, 2 sacks and 47 tackles this past season starting only 9 games. He's 6'4, 280, and 26 years old.

        For only a 4th he's worth a long look.

I was about to say the same thing. At worst, he's still better than Kelsay...

I like his size and athletic ability. St. Louis may not be willing to let him go but an offer sheet can't hurt too much imo.

You know for a 2nd Round tender, Id actually give Page a long look (if Jones and Phillips didnt work out).

              6'0, 225, 24 yrs old
              85 tackles, 2 FF, 4 INT in 2008

Most of those teams have ample cap space so it's likely we would just be negotiating a deal for them OR pay a premium to get the team not to match

One thing to consider is what it would take money-wise to get the player. KC, Cincy, Atl and StL all have lots of cap room, so they could match an offer if they really want to keep the player.

One name that is intriguing is DT Anthony Montgomery of the Redskins. He was a starter for the 'skins his first two years, then lost his job last year in training camp to Kendric Golston when he broke his hand, but he still played on a rotational basis for the Redskins and was a stout force inside who tied up blockers.

Montgomery is a big-bodied (6-5, 325#), long armed guy who fits the profile for a space-eater. He is only 25 years old. He was tendered at the low-level, so it would require a 5th round pick as compensation should he be signed to an offer sheet the Redskins couldn't match. With all the money the Redskins spent on Haynesworth, it would be difficult for them to match an offer sheet to Montgomery if structured right.

I agree NE39... looking at Wash RFA's might be the best chance of prying away decent talent without having to put up a huge offer to discourage the home team...
