Good enough for a backup to Lalime. Better than paying alot for Biron or someone else.

I'm convinced that they're not giving up on this season.

We'll see if that strategy pays off or if it just burns them for next season.

In my eyes, if we picked up a goalie like Leclaire.. it would show me that they actually wanted to make the playoffs. Now we have Tellqvist. Ohhh, Ahhh.

This team just does not perform in front of Lalime so why pick up a backup for him? We should have picked up a starter.

And who would that be and what would he cost?

That is a fair enough point. I assume this means that Miller is gone longer term. Do you have that little of confidence in Lalime?

How long is Miller out for?

Darcy said he will be back before the end of the season, but no date was given.

Nobody knows, but if they are getting an NHL backup for Lalime, then I assume it is more than a couple more games.

That's not a good sign then.

This doesn't necessarily mean Miller is out for a long time. They have back to back games this weekend. Do you think Lalime could go in both? If not, they would have Enroth starting in the game. Enroth might be great, but I doubt he will in his first game when we need every single point in the standings. Tellvquist is a UFA at the end of the year so it's simply to give Lalime someone experienced to back him up.

Leclaire is injured and out for the remainder of the season, or most of it.

Yea but the lack of any kind of a time table for return doesnt give anybody a warm fuzzy feeling inside. But you may very well be right.

It is hard to give a time table on ankle injuries for goalies.

Everything I've heard regarding Miller has been positive, given the situation.

Darcy just said on the radio that he will be playing before the season is over. I think this is strictly to backup Lalime and let Enroth going back to the AHL.

Understandable simply saying ideally youd like to hear something like we will re-evaluate him in 2 weeks, or he is going to try skating for the first time in a week. At least something. Granted I dont hear all the Sabres news, Im just talking, I have no reason to doubt that he will be back before the season ends.

This is just for depth, so there are NHL-caliber bodies available. Miller will be back

You do realize Leclaire is injured currently and probably out for the season right?

and I think he is signed for another year.

Why would they need a goalie who is signed beyond this year?

And nobody wants Gerber, why would the Sabres? A 4th round pick is peanuts.

You know what would be nice...if this team would actually address some of the problems and stop ignoring them...that would be nice.

If you are talking about adding some grit and Scoring I am with you on that point.

I like it. Some experience at a decent price and maybe he could steal a game or two down the stretch. Buffalo is notorious for bringing most of their goalies up slowly and I don't think they wanted Enroth to get bombed and have it wreck his development either
