At least the FO has a pulse and in a slow minded cousin sort of way is trying to do something. Isnt exactly the straight ahead approach. But its going to bring attention to the Bills. Now if only we can get the training camp show this year.

Holy balls. I never, in a million years thought TO would be wearing a Bills uniform. This is, well, awesome. Sure, we all hate the guy when he's in another team's uni, but in a Bills uniform, I LOVE him. I'm not afraid to say it. I heart TO.

You know... I just thought of it. This is our yearly big free agent signing that will lift the fan's hopes up and sell tickets next year. (Only so that we can have them dashed again at the end of the season.)

Too bad it wasn't a free agent we really needed like Matt Birk.

Wow now that is surprising. I would have considered the Bills to be one of the last teams interested. Evans and Owens is a damn good WR set.

It seems I'm one of those rare birds who is neither thrilled nor pulling my hair out at the TO signing. On the plus side, even though he is not the TO of 3 or 4 years ago in terms of production, he's still going to be far more productive than anyone else Buffalo could sign, trade for or draft as a #2 receiver. On the other hand, his record says he is going to become locker room poison sooner or later. Buffalo did the smart thing and gave him only a one year deal so they won't be killed by the dead cap money when the honeymoon is over. The Bills may just get lucky and be able to take advantage of a happy productive TO without having to deal with the poisoned locker room. The Bills like Steve Johnson and hope Hardy comes around, and in 2010 when Owens is gone, they may be ready to shine. . .

if everything works out in a best case scenario.

There's lots that can go wrong in that strategy too, unfortunately.

03-07-2009, 11:12 PM
rofl.

You guys are like the 49er fans when we signed him to an extention, then the Eagles fans when they got him, then the Cowboys fans when they got him.

There IS a reason why almost nobody wanted him you know. I think it's a great signing for Buffalo because it's a small market team, and they really need someone to help push ticket sales. The talent is there too, that's a given.

But is it really Buffalo's main concern? I don't think so. However, time will tell. It sure is exciting though! I can't wait to see what happens next. I love TO drama.

I couldn't wait to get home since I heard the the news earlier. Every time I see a picture with him wearing a Bills hat or hear his voice on the radio I start laughing uncontrollably.
My wife says no one else probably wanted him.

jimbohastle51
05-29-2009, 04:12 PM
if we finish 9-7 and he has a normal T.O. type year i could see us giving him a 2 year deal (a two year deal that is like a option after the first season, like the 3 year one he had in dallas). i just hope we can get 9 wins.
