We still have all of our draft picks, and tons of cap space.
Signing TO hurt us barely at all in cap terms.
We still have the #11 pick, who could end up a major contributor.
The only glaring needs are LG, LB, and TE.
Tight end, you could almost argue that through adding a WR that requires a double team, we just upgraded each of our tight ends.
So I'd scratch TE off, unless something easy comes along like LJ Smith or a solid vet. And then I'd throw DE into the top 3.
Draft: Rnd 1 and 2 a LB and a DE, whichever is better each round.
Acquire before the draft: An LG. We can pull off Waters. We talked to KC last year, the lines of communication are probably already open.
So, hypothetically if we go Orakpo in the 1st, I'm not sure who'd be a good LB in the 2nd round. So honestly I'd probably try to trade up for Cushing. Why couldn't we get both?
