How Many Steps Has TO Lost Last Year?

how many is he going to lose next season?

After all the guy is 35.

The real danger I see is that his performance declines further, and he, like all guys before him, refuses to believe it. That's when the blame flies and things gets ugly.

Did Jerry Rice play into his 40s? Maybe TO is one of those rare breed in Rice's category.

Have you seen pictures of this guy??? He is jacked, he is a freak of nature... I'm not worried about him losing anything anytime soon.

Having watched every Dallas game last season, the reports of the decline in his play from last year are greatly exaggerated. I think the "decline" was more of a product of a miss utilized offense that featured a mess of an protection scheme, the lack of a running game, and miscast wideouts. Jason Garrett's offense was pretty terrible most of the season.

Of course, the Bills may have had the worst offensive gameplanning, and coaching in general, last season.

TO minus 10 steps is still better than any other potential #2 WR currently on our team.

Can we agree Andre Reed was in his prime in 91? That is the only season he had double digit touchdowns.

Well he had 81 receptions, 1100 yards receiving and 10 TD's for 13.7 yards a reception.

Last year TO had 69 receptions 1050 yards receiving and 10 TD's for 15.2 yards per reception.

If TO's decline is pretty equal to one of Andre Reeds best years, then I think we are doing OK.

The other thing to remember is TO loves it when he has something to prove, he thrives on that type of thing.

Do you think for one minute that being publicly dissed by several teams is not going to have him playing with a chip on his shoulder?

I am just glad Miami is one of the teams that dissed him, he is going to love sticking it to them twice this year!

You cant compare todays football with football of the 90's! 1000 yard rushers back in the 90s made you an elite RB, 1500+ yards rushing makes you elite these days. Pro Bowl Qbs completed just above 50% of their passes, nowadays if your not completing 60%+ you may not be in the league very long!

Here is the piece from Buffalo News regarding TO's decline.

I have to believe that it is a concern on Cowboys mind.

Granted, he's coming from a much higher level than anyone we have ever had, including Andre Reed. I just want to point out that bad things usually happen with him when the things don't work out as planned. And how many times things has gone as they envisioned for the Bills?

He could lose 3 steps and he would still be the best WR on the Bills.
