Jackson is well qualified for this position. I think he has many more better years in him than McAllister.

Jackson today is far better than McAllister will ever be again.

Talking about 3rd Rb for when Lynch is suspended.

I agree Thurm, Duece is a power back and if he is healthy would be a perfect compliment to Freddie if Lynch is suspended or goes down,
i like Foster alot as well and wouldnt be mad at bringing in Dunn for 1yr either to help mentor Lynch

maybe we shouldn't have given Jackson a shot.

As long as Deuce knows he's here temporarily til' Lynch gets back then it might not be a bad move. The guy can still puch it in a goal line situations.

Isn't Duece awaiting word on a possible suspension due to roid/HGH allegations. I thought he was one of the players whose name came out several months back.

Deuce looked terrible this season when I watched him, he had no burst whatsoever (and thats even in comparison to what he USED to lack in burst), and was simply a worn down back with no gas left. I'd rather take a flier on a young guy that has some years left.

Re: Duece McAllister for backup RB?

McAllister had his knee scoped earlier this offseason, to clean up some cartilage and scar tissue. He likely isn't ready to pass a physical yet, which he will have to do before he is signed by someone. You probably won't hear much about him until after the draft or into the summer. The team could waive the physical and sign him, but that wouldn't make sense for a guy who has had 4 knee operations in the last 4 years, including having both ACL's replaced.

Duece isnt going to want to be a 3rd string back...
