Heck, if you want to take the risk out of not getting him outright, we trade for him, pay the 6.5 mil (and we can talk about the 8.5 next year or keep him at that) and ensure that we get him and now have no issue with A) Pass rush (he's played at rush end at times in SF under Mora and on the Seahawks in their sugar rush package) or B) our SLB position, as he loves running with the TEs and blitzing like mad.

The most interesting aspect of this trade is it means the Lions probably wouldn't be taking Aaron Curry with the 1st overall pick. They likely would go OT or QB.
