Re: Jason Peters Rumors
I hope they can sign him, and Brian Galliford (the author of that Buffalo Rumblings article, hopes the Bills can sign him, but since there is apparently a significant gap between what the Bills are offering and what Peters thinks he's worth, there is going to be some speculation. Chris Brown, the BuffaloBills.com guy speculated on the Eagles and thought Peters might net one of Philly's first round picks and perhaps a fourth or fifth round pick. I'm not crazy about that because Buffalo would probably need to use their pick at #11 to grab Peters' replacement. That leaves a low first round pick instead of #11 overall to address another need. Unless you get really lucky, all you're going to get in the 4th or 5th round is a reserve to fill out the roster. That may still be better than heading into training camp with a starter who might hold out again, or play lazily and get his QB killedI've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

Re: Jason Peters Rumors
If a quality LT is there at #11 I am not opposed to trading Peters to Philly for the #20 pick in the draft and a 4th rounder. Move Walker over for one year to LT. Draft Pettigrew at #20.
I worry that Peters is not about the team and all about money. Who is to say he will not pull the same crap in 3 2-3 years. He is turning into a cancer.Last edited by don137; 03-15-2009, 09:08 AM.

Re: Jason Peters Rumors
Something tells me that the team is sold on Walker and Bell as the main OTs if Peters won't agree to their price (which is fair). I am sick of hearing that the Bills are cheap. They are willing to pay a fair price or even overpay if the player works hard and is a team player. But when they demand money and don't work for it, they can go **** themselves. I completely agree with it. If Peters wants his money, then I want him in Buffalo for the OTAs, mini-camps and in Rochester for the start of training camp. If he does this, then I will work on a new contract with him that makes him happy, with plenty of incentives.

Re: Jason Peters Rumors
If we don't come to an agreement...
And if we don't trade him...
And if he holds out again...
Start Walker and Chambers or Bell at the tackle positions...
Sit Peters until at least week 5...
Then, if he's a good boy, we may allow him to start at LG...
The only way he sees the tackle position again is in an emergency.
LET'S SEE WHAT KIND OF CONTRACT HE CAN DEMAND THEN!!
